This past Saturday, The Good Samaritan Clinic in Chapin held its first ever health fair! The fair was a huge success, drawing together Chapin’s dedicated volunteers to put on an event that welcomed over fifty visitors. Cholesterol screenings were provided by Cholestcheck, and Chapin community members provided information on dental care, immunizations, nutrition, and more. Chapin UMC offered outdoor games for children and families alike, children came to get their faces painted and enjoy crafts and snacks, and a raffle was held every hour for great giveaways. Sheila Veach, owner of Small Packages Catering, held cooking presentations, showing community members how to make delicious meals from food provided in WeCare’s donation boxes!
The Clinic is so grateful to its wonderful group of volunteers who put in their time and efforts to make this fair such a success. Everyone contributed their diverse talents to show the Chapin community how much the Clinic loves and supports them. All who came left with big smiles on their faces and many took stacks of fliers with them to share with friends and families about the Clinic and its dedication to providing health care to those who need it. Thank you to everyone who came!
